GENERAL PROJECT

Sacriston Sewage Treatment Works Upgrade

We are investing over £3 million to improve the performance of our wastewater treatment at Sacriston. This essential work will help to improve the water quality of the South Burn for the benefit of people, the environment and wildlife and ensure that the treatment facility continues to serve the community effectively.

Update by Paul Davison

Good morning and apologies, we've not updated the portal for a quite a while now.

We wrote to customers back in September to confirm that we have now secured business approval for the upgrade works and are progressing with the detailed design.  We plan to start construction work in January 2024 and expect the upgrade works to take up to 8 months to complete. Now that we are preparing to move into the construction phase, we'll make sure to kee pthe portal updated regularly so you can see how we are getting on.

Again, don't hesistate to contact us either via the 'Contact Us' tab above or comment on this post and we'll get back to you.

Thanks
