Starting in February 2024, as part of a £4.3 million scheme, we will be carrying out essential work to improve the performance of our New Moors wastewater treatment works in Evenwood Gate. The scheme will help to improve the water quality of Hummer Beck, as well as the watercourses downstream.

Site is now well established, and civil works have started.
This has begun with the groundworks required to get the new chemical dosing kiosks on site which are due around the first week in May 24. Along with this, excavations are being made to sink three new pumping station on site.
